10/29/24 – For sale is an excellent Vickers Mk 1 dummy machine gun with an original Mk IV tripod. The gun is in great condition with minor finish loss on the parts. The gun was removed from service and was labeled as “DP” or Drill Purpose. Many of the parts are stamped DP and the water jacket is painted DP. The barrel has been plugged on this example and the trigger mechanism does not work. The triggers themselves do move but is not attached to anything within. The toggle action works properly and cycles the action. The gun has no other markings and the belt feed cover, which normally has manufacturing stamps, has been sanitized. The tripod is in good condition and is painted a greenish color that matches the water jacket. The screws and knobs lock up tight and there are no major flaws to note. The horizontal and vertical adjustments for the gun work properly. The gun also comes with a .303 Mk7 ammo can with a cloth belt and dummy 30.06 rounds.
