08/06/2024 – For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in February of 1945. The rifle has a nice parkerized finish throughout and the gas cylinder has the most wear. The stock is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The barrel is marked January of 1945 and has a bright bore. It does get frosted towards the muzzle. The parts list is included in the photos and looks to be parts correct. The stock is stamped SA/GAW but should be SA/NFR. But there have been examples noted with the GAW stamp as around this time, the inspector had become ill and other was a delay in the arsenal receiving NFR inspected stocks.
