10/24/24 – This is an excellent example of a WW2 Reichsbahn Eagle. These eagles were attached to the trains used by the Third Reich during WW2. These were very popular items to capture during WW2, and many Allied soldiers cut these off the trains they captured. This example having 3 mounting points that show obvious signs of being cut. This eagle is in excellent shape and only has some minor surface scratches and high edge wear from handling and age. The back of this eagle is marked with “Al-Mg-Si” this marking indicates the alloy of aluminum that this eagle is made from. As well as maker stamped with a “B” and “RZA 10 BLN” This eagle would is a piece of not only WW2 history, but also locomotive history.
