10/3/24 – This is a great example of a 1942 luger holster. The leather on this holster is still very pliable and soft. There are nicks and scratches on the leather throughout, but nothing that impacts the functionality and integrity of the holster. There is a small hole in the bottom of the magazine pouch. Additionally, there is abrasion wear to the back of the holster that is indicative of use being on a belt, and a small delamination of the leather on the back near the toe. The closure strap remains completely intact and is still pliable. The holster is stamped on the back with “dta 42” as well as a Waffen Eagle 195, and “P.08”. The stamps on the back remain strong and are easily recognizable and legible. The stitching on the holster remains strong and intact.
