5/2/24 – This is a very nice example of a desirable U.S. military-issued shotgun, the Remington Model 11. This example has crisp markings, with ‘U.S.’ and flaming bomb proofs present on receiver and barrel. The stock is marked with crossed cannons cartouche and FJA inspectors mark. The finish on the metal parts rates about 95%. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are some scratches on the barrel and minor patina in other areas. Good, shiny bore. The stock does show a notable chip on the left side of the wrist, and a small surface crack on the underside of the forend.
