06/17/2024 – For sale is a first series Arisaka Type 99 Rifle made at the Nagoya Arsenal. The finish on the rifle rates at an overall 94%. The metal retains a lot of the original bluing but there are fine prickling visible throughout. The stock is in good condition overall but between the barrel bands are (aged) holes that could have been from the battlefield but we are unsure. The rifle is matching on the receiver, bolt, extractor, safety knob, firing pin, and bayonet lug. The dust cover is original but has the serials ground off and the monopod is a reproduction. The bore rates poorly as it is very dark with visible corrosion. There are still some rifling visible when shining a light.
