05/07/2024 – For sale is a late WW2 Type 99 Arisaka rifle that was made at the Nagoya Arsenal. The rifle had begun transitioning to the “Last Ditch” style of rifles that the Arisakas tend to be known for. The rear sight is now fixed, the stock is now a 3 piece stock, the bolt is crude and the safety knob is welded, and the buttplate is wood. The rifle is matching on the receiver, bolt, extractor, firing pin, and safety knob. The bayonet lug is no longer serialized at this point of production. The bore is fair with some light shining through but is towards the darker side. The rifle comes with a late war, square pummel and straight crossguard bayonet with the crude bamboo scabbard made at National Denki.
