11/19/24 – For sale is a Kar 98az made in 1918 at the Erfurt Arsenal. The rifle is well worn but in great condition overall. The metal on the rifle is worn to near bare metal without much of a finish left. The stock has been lightly sanded and there are numerous dents and blemishes. There are two heavier dents on the left sie of the forestock and a large chunk missing on the right side of the buttstock. The rifle has matching serial numbers throughout but the bolt cocking sleeve, safety, and cocking piece are unnumbered. The bore is fairly bright with great rifling but there is pitting visible in the grooves.
