06/21/2024 – For sale is a nice M1 Garand made by International Harvester Company in 1965. This Garand is parts correct for when it left the factory. (The parts breakdown is attached to the photos) The rifle is in great condition overall with minor edge wear on the receiver. The stock is clean and structurally sound. The bore is bright with good rifling. There is carbon and copper jacket residue at the muzzle. The muzzle erosion rates a 3 and throat erosion a 4. The barrel is stamped SA for Springfield but that is correct for rifles made by IHC in the 501xxxx to 517xxx serial range according to the Scott Duff reference website.
