7/8/24 – This is a super-rare Walther P38(k). This is one of the 24 “1st Pre-Series” P38Ks described in Marschall’s Walther book, p.199, and probably only 3-4 of these in the states. The “safety” lever is decocker only, even though the slide is marked S/F. Neat pistol because it shows the transition from P38 to P38K, with a P1/P38 slide, de-cocker only, and front site dovetailed into the slide bridge. C&R eligible with a 1972 proof date. Slide marked “P38” and not “P38K”. This one does not have a serial added to the frame, e.g. it’s original. Small import mark on the mag well lip. Finish rates about 98% with just hints of high edge wear. Excellent wood grips and comes with one magazine. Mint bore.
