10/16/24 – This is a beautiful example of a 1944 Dual Tone P.38 with a blued barrel and a phosphate finish on the slide and frame. It is in the “c” block which is correct according to the research books. The black Mauser style grips are proper for 1944 production. Comes with a rare, phosphate, “U” marked, “Waffen 135” Mauser magazine. The gun has retained nearly all of its finish with just hints of high edge and muzzle wear. Two very light scratches on the left side of the frame. The bore has great rifling, but there is some very light pin-pricking in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
