7/29/24 – This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in January of 1944. All matching with the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs. It comes as a rig with an “Eagle 359” proofed Walther magazine and an excellent 1943-dated hard shell holster. The back of the holster has a number painted in white. The gun’s original finish rates somewhere between 85-90%. There is thinning on the front strap, muzzle wear, wear on the front edges of the slide, and some small dots of discoloration on the barrel and left side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct reddish bakelite grips. The bore is mostly shiny with great rifling, but there is some very light freckling here and there in the grooves. De-cocker is functional. The lanyard ring is missing from the left side of the frame.
