9/23/24 – This is an early, flatside and unmarked variant of the Chinese Taku Naval Dockyard C96 pistol, chambered in 7.63mm. There are no markings except for the serial numbers, which match throughout. Fitted with period-correct but un-numbered wood grips – bruising on both sides. The gun has retained about 93% of its finish. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina covering the gun, areas of light pin-pricking throughout, and a few small spots with small pits. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with minor pitting throughout.
