7/11/24 – This is a nice example of a rare “Ku” prefix Luger. The historical significance of these pistols is still largely debated in the collector community, but the general belief is that these are Lugers put together by Krieghoff using leftover parts. This one is all matching, has the proper “Ku” serial prefix, and has the distinctive Luftwaffe markings on the barrel and right side of the slide. This one is even more interesting because it has a scarce “41/42” Code. It also comes with a correct matching-numbered black bakelite bottom magazine. The finish rates about 90% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, spotty discoloration on the left side of the gun, and spotty wear on the front strap. The name “Taylor” is scratched onto the back strap – it is also scratched onto the magazine. The whole underside of the trigger guard appears to have been lightly milled. Matching-numbered wood grips with the correct full serial number “2925”. There is a tiny chip in the upper corner of the left side, notches along the left grip, and a couple of ground notches on the right side. Very nice bore with good rifling.
