5/8/24 – This is a very nice example of a Smith & Wesson Pre-Victory revolver that was part of the British/Australian Lend-Lease Program during WW2 – issued to the British or Australian military. It is all matching and marked “Made in USA”. There is an “FTR” marking on the right side of the frame, which indicates it was reworked. Flaming bomb proof and “WB” inspection stamp on the butt of the frame. No import marks. The gun’s black enamel finish rates about 94% with general high edge wear and some small handling marks here and there. Fitted with period-correct grips – the right one is numbered but mismatched. Minty bore.
