08/15/2024 – For sale is a Colt Officer’s Model revolver chambered in .38 Long Colt. This is an early example, with serial dating to 1907. The listing includes the Colt Archive letter that states it was shipped to a retailer in New York City. The revolver sports a 6″ barrel and the bore is bright and strong. The frame and cylinder retain a lot of its original bluing with some spots of wear, but the barrel has lost a lot of its finish. Original, early grips. The action locks up nicely and the trigger is crisp.
