1/26/24 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1895 double action revolver issued to the US Navy in 1904. The butt is marked U.S.N. over the Navy Anchor. Beneath this is the caliber designation “.38 D.A.”. There are British proofs on the right side of the barrel, frame, and on the cylinder. The finish rates roughly 90%. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there are tiny scratches and dings all over the gun. Fitted with hard rubber grips – a couple of cracks on the bottom edge of the right panel. Excellent bore.
