8/19/24 – This is an excellent example of a hard-to-find Colt M1911A1, manufactured in 1941 with proper RS inspectors mark. There were only ~35,000 Colt 1911’s produced that year, which is a very low production number for Colt 1911’s in general. The RS – Robert Sears inspector proof is very rare and desirable for Colt collectors. This pistol is all correct with proper markings and matching numbered slide. The parkerized finish rates at about 97% with a spot of wear on the left side slide/frame, and another on the trigger guard. Excellent grips and bore. ‘S’ marked magazine. Colt marked barrel.
