7/20/18 – This is an original WW1 Imperial German camoflauge helmet. The helmet is all original including original paint and interior leahter liner. The exterior paint is faded and there are a few small spots of chipped / missing paint, but overall the paint is excellent. The interior shell is maker stamped “N.J. 62” which is the size of the helmet and the NJ is for Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte i/Westf.. The helmet has no dents or major notable flaws – just some normal wear and aging. The interior leather shows age as well and there’s some normal roughness to the edges. The stitching is in tact though as is the leather. The interior shell appears to have the number “711” faintly inside the crown of the helmet. Guaranteed original and authentic. *Note there is no chin strap included.
