11/25/24 – This is a great example of a 1944 M1 Carbine Canvas Jump Scabbard, made by Atlas Awning. These bags were created for airborne troops to keep their M1 Carbine rifles safe and intact during a jump. This scabbard is made of thick durable canvas, the canvas does have some stains and a few holes but is in overall great condition. The stamps on this scabbard are still very strong and easily legible. The stitching on this scabbard remains strong and intact. This scabbard has some additions on it including a M1 Carbine magazine and a strap. The magazine pouch is loose on the upper right corner, but is otherwise still firmly attached to the scabbard.
