10/22/24 – This is an original WW2 German Radio Receiver. The radio is complete and in excellent overall condition with original chord, plug, and all internals intact, as shown. The dials and switches all move without issue and seem to function, although we can’t check for sure and the dials don’t seem to properly move the “tuning” peg. The exterior is dark brown bakelite material that’s clean throughout, with no cracks or chips. The backside is marked “VE301 Dyn GW” and “EMUD-RADIO”, “Ernst Mastling, Ulm”. There’s also a serial number and volt indication of 110/240 (see photos). The back unscrews and reveals all internals in great condition, though aged and dusty all parts seem to be intact. These were made as part of Germany’s propaganda efforts to help spread information and “news” throughout the country. These were made to be affordable so they could be distributed to the masses. A very cool piece of WW2 history, and a rare find in such great condition.
