3/27/23 – This is an original WW2 ZF 41 scope with mount, metal case, lens covers (including 1 spare smaller-sized lens cover that’s slightly bent), and brush. The scope and mount are both maker stamped code “cxn” by Emil Busch AG. The exterior blued finish is in great condition with about 95+% of the original finish intact. There’s some mild thinning and micro-scratching on the surface of the metal. The optics are excellent, crisp and clear with a strong reticle. The case has a dark olive green painted finish that’s mostly missing. Natural dark-brown surface patina is visible throughout the exterior. The canvas strap is still intact although soft from age. The backside of the lid near the hinge is stamped “jvb” by Wessel & Müller. This is accompanied by a WaA14 military proof stamp. The base of the case is missing a screw, which allows the interior to lift out of the case, but this is minor. The case interior is clean with original wool lining intact. The cleaning brush is stamped with a “41” on the wood and the bristles are strong and clean.
