6/9/23 – This is a Yugoslavian Zastava M98/48 Bolt Action Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm). These rifles were refurbished in the 1950’s from leftover WW2 German K98 parts. This example has a a bolt, base plate, and stock that are matching numbered to the receiver, and the metal is in excellent overall condition. We rate around 92-94%. Most of the wear is found on top of the receiver where the original markings were buffed and cold-blued over. The wood stock has been lightly sanded and has a few typical bumps and dings, but is in great shape overall with no major cracks or chips. The action is smooth and the barrel is excellent with strong rifling and minimal signs of use.
