7/9/24 – This is a complete box of WW2 era Winchester 12 Gauge Shotgun Shells. The box is clearly labeled and marked Lot W.R.A. 22194 which falls within the range of lot numbers assigned for military use. In December 1944, Winchester changed the labeling on these boxes. Since this example still says “Division of Western Cartridge Company” under the Winchester label, that means this box was made prior to December 1944. The box is tattered along the edges and worn from age and handling. There’s mild yellowing and stains on the exterior box as well, see photos. One side of the box has a handwritten “12GA #8” in red pencil. All rounds are excellent, though they show natural age.
