8/19/22 – This is an excellent example of a Stevens Model 520-30 Riot Gun issued to the US military during WW2. It has the proper dull military blued finish and has a “US” property marking on the left side of the receiver. On the underside of the receiver, there is an arsenal marking and a US military flaming bomb proof. It is in the proper sub-50000 serial number range for this variation. There is no evidence that this particular gun was converted from a trench gun configuration. It also has a checkered wooden stock. From research, they used these checkered stocks until they ran out, at which point, they used the smooth wood stocks. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition with not much actual finish loss. There are some light scratches and scuffs along the barrel, some thinning on the underside of the receiver, and some minor wear on the high edges of the receiver. The stock and foregrip are in nice condition with only minor dings and scratches here and there. Around the wrist, there is one hairline crack and what looks like a small wood repair. The bore is excellent and shiny.
