11/21/24 – This is a great example of a WW2 M1938 Lensatic Compass made by W. & L. E. Gurley. This compass comes with a period correct compass pouch. This type of compass was adopted by the U.S. Military in 1938, and variations of it continue to serve up to today. This compass is in great condition and maintains almost all of its original black finish with only minor areas of wear. The copper components of the compass are in great condition and have a nice aged appearance. The pouch that comes with this compass is in really good condition with only minor areas of fraying.
