6/15/18 – This is an original WW2 nazi Luftwaffe sword, complete with scabbard and frog. The leather “frog” has normal aging wear and light wrinkling in the leather. The blue leather stretched over the scabbard has cracking and some missing leather along some of the edge. Overall this is in great shape though as they often have much more wear. The handle shows similar cracking in a few small areas of blue leather, but again this is normal wear and still considered excellent in comparison to most. The pommel has some of the bronze finish missing – most of the finish is missing on one side. The blade itself is very clean and excellent with no signs of sharpening or abuse. The maker stamp is crisp and clear, and there’s a luftwaffe stamp above the maker stamp. Guaranteed original – a very cool collectible sword.
