2/7/23 – This is an original WW2 era production leather rifle sling for a Japanese Arisaka rifle. Fits most WW2 Arisaka models such as the type 38, type 44, and type 99. The sling is fairly crude with no markings or stamps, but there are some characters written on the interior leather as shown. The leather is worn with surface scuffing and wrinkling throughout, but no major cracks or structural issues. Measures about 42 inches when laid flat. Comes with a metal stud and metal retaining ring. These are fairly scarce as many wartime slings were made from rubberized canvas.
