4/3/23 – This is an original WW2 production German Officer Dress / Parade / Ceremonial sword. The sword blade is excellent with a shiny nickel plated finish that’s clean throughout. No signs of sharpening or misuse along the edge. There are a few very mild scuffs along the sides of the blade, but this is very minor wear and normal for something of this age. Maker stamped by WKC on one side. The leather stopper is original and intact. The hand guard has surface patina and edge wear throughout, as does the spine of the handle. No cracks or chips in the black bakelite portion of the handle, and the original chord wrapping is in great condition as well. Part of an original portepee is still attached, but the knot is missing. The scabbard has some mild surface wear but is in great overall condition.
