3/18/24 – This is an original WW1 era production German boot knife with an Imperial proof stamp. One side is proof stamped and the reverse side is Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen stamped. The blade has light discoloration and minor scabbard wear near the tip, but overall is in great condition. It appears there was a Nazi eagle that was defaced, this was likely fake anyways. The wood grips are minty and completely in tact. The scabbard is excellent with one small spot of patina and a leather strap that’s fully intact. There is a minor chips on the mouth of the scabbard but no dents.
