11/20/23 – This is an original WW2 production German Army Officer’s Dagger with an original scabbard and hanger. The dagger blade is shiny and excellent overall condition with crisp cross graining evident throughout. Nice shiny finish with some very light speckling and surface patina, but no excessive wear. Maker marked by WKC on the base of the blade on one side. The hand guard has typical light surface patina throughout but no major areas of discoloration. Traces of finish are found on the pommel within the grooves. The dark orange bakelite handle has some light surface discoloration but no cracks. The silver portepee is in great shape with some light fraying on the chord but the knot is tight and excellent. The scabbard has dark patina and finish loss throughout but no dents.
