2/5/24 – This is a very nice example of a Winchester Model 1917 rifle issued to the US military during WW1. The barrel is marked Winchester and dated 3-18. The bolt is also Winchester marked. The stock is “Eagle Head” military proofed, but there are arsenal rework markings on the left side. The finish on the metal parts rates about 93-94% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some wear on the bolt handle. Excellent wood furniture with below-average signs of wear. Minty bore.
