12/7/23 – This is a nice example of a Winchester Model 1887 lever action shotgun. Made the first year of production, in 1887. Chambered in 12 GA. 29″ Barrel. This one is all correct and has retained most of its original finish. However, there is minor thinning and very light pin-pricking throughout. Most of the metal parts show signs of typical “attic patina”. The wood is fairly nice with minor dings and bruises throughout. Some small dots of discoloration on the right side of the butt stock. The bore shows pitting throughout. Fully functional, and the action is very smooth.
