3/20/24 – This is a nice example of a Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle, often referred to as “The Gun That Won The West”. This one is all matching, chambered in .38 WCF, and was manufactured in 1897. Overall, the gun is in nice condition for its age. Not much actual finish loss, but there is heavy brown patina covering all of the metal parts and some small areas of pitting here and there. Very nice wood stock. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pitting throughout.
