10/23/20 – This is an M1 Garand that was manufactured at the end of 1943 by Winchester for the US Army. It’s mostly original with Winchester receiver, barrel, stock, trigger group, modified op rod, etc. A few small parts were swapped so likely upgraded for the Korean War. The finish is nice and original with most of the thinning on the gas tube and trigger assembly. Stock has clear inspectors stamp with crossed cannons cartouche. Several dings and nicks but no major cracks or chips. Postwar sling. Bore is shiny with strong rifling but a little frost throughout. Muzzle is a 4, throat less than 1.
