5/16/23 – This is an excellent example of a Winchester M1 Carbine issued to the US military in about 1943. The receiver is Winchester, the barrel was made by IBM, and the stock is “IO” Inland marked. There is an arsenal rework stamp on the left side of the stock. Faint cross-canon cartouche on the right side of the butt stock. An adjustable rear sight and bayonet lug were added, likely for re-issue during the Korean War. It comes with one magazine, an oiler, a green canvas sling, and a green canvas carrying case. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their parkerized finish with just some small spots of discoloration here and there. Excellent wood stock with just some tiny dings on the upper hand guard. Minty bore.
