11/1/22 – This is an excellent example of an original Walther P1/P.38 .22 caliber conversion kit from the post-WW2 era. The metal of the included barrel, upper receiver, and magazine are in excellent condition retaining virtually all of their original finish. The slide shows minor signs of handling wear on it’s left-hand side. It features two “eagle 952” proof marks, indicating 1952 production, and serial number “2528” on its left side. The right side is marked “Walther Carl Walther Waffenbrik Ulm/Do. P 38 Cal 5,6mm”. The included barrel is also “eagle 952” proof marked on the breech and also serial numbered “2528”. The bore is in mint condition. The magazine is marked “Walther” on one side and “p 38 cal. 5,6 mm” on the other. The follower is in excellent condition. The spring is strong and function. The original green painted, wooden box included is in good condition overall, showing use wear throughout. The hinge and latch are both secure and functional. The front of the wooden case is marked “KK-ES P1 2528”.
