5/12/23 – This is an original, rare variation 7.65mm Axis pistol holster from WW2. The holster is stamped under the closure strap with a waffen eagle over WaA14 proof stamp. This military issued holster is a great size for a Sauer 38h, Mauser HSc, or Walther PP pistol. The holster leather has honest use wear and aging. The texture is soft with normal pliability. The stitching is in good condition but has a few notable flaws. First, the back belt loop has replaced stitching that is a different color than the rest of the stitching. This stitching doesn’t glow under a black light however, so is likely a period repair. The second notable flaw is some loose stitches on the side flap, but this doesn’t affect functionality and the side flap is still secure.
