1/11/23 – This is a fairly scarce variation M1916 holster for a M1911A1 pistol made from Vinyl plastic-like material. The holster comes with an attached leg harness and belt, which are both also made from vinyl material. We believe this is likely an immediate post WW2 production item, as the brass fixtures have natural aging as shown. The holster is in great condition with mild pliability and signs of previous use. The front stitching is missing along the left side (when looking at the front of the holster) but this doesn’t affect functionality and is about 2.5 inches long. The rest of the stitching is original and intact. The vinyl material is excellent throughout, with the only notable cracking being on the top of the belt / harness loop (shown in photos). The back of the holster is maker stamped, and there are no other markings. An interesting and unusual grouping for 1911 collectors.
