9/13/24 – This is a Chinese M20, manufactured in the 1966. The M20 was a version of the Type 54 made without factory markings to conceal the weapon’s origins. Many of these were used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. The slide and frame are mismatched, but this seems to common with these guns. No import marks. The gun comes as a rig with a period-correct leather holster, one proper magazine that is mismatched to the gun, and three original Vietnam War capture documents that list this exact gun by serial number. Its finish rates roughly 65-70% with spotty wear and discoloration throughout. Minor pitting along the slide. Some surface scratches on both sides of the frame. Fitted with custom checkered wood grips. The bore shows rifling, but there is pitting throughout.
