6/2/23 – This is a very rare and desirable High Turret Mauser K98 sniper rifle from WW2. This is an original High Turret example, with proper scope and original mounts. Original finish throughout with some thinning in most areas, and some pitting along the left side of the barrel. All numbers on this rifle match but we do believe the bands were renumbered to match the rest of the rifle. The handguard and stock channel also match but we are not 100% certain on the font of the numbering in the channel as it is somewhat crude (we’ve included photos of the numbering and the mounts). Proper checkered buttplate for a sniper example. Correct Dialytan 4X scope with nice, clear optics. The rifle also has the original, matching numbered scope rings! Comes with period sling, cleaning rod and sight hood. The stock is properly WaA135 proofed on the right face. It has a minor surface crack on the lower left face but shouldn’t worsen with proper care. Excellent bore with strong rifling and only minor frost.
