08/01/2024 – For sale is a Springfield M1D Sniper that was built on a 1943 Springfield receiver. The rifle is in excellent condition with some visible handling wear but no major rusting or damage. The receiver retains its original parkerization and has slight edge wear. It has been rebarred with a 1952 barrel. The bore is bright with great rifling but is getting frosted towards the muzzle. The muzzle erosion rates a 2, and the throat erosion rates a 2. The stock is in great condition with the left side stamped SA/FMF with the small cross cannons but it has been lightly sanded. The cheek pad is well worn but in good condition. The parts list is included in the photos.
