08/07/2024 – For sale is a Krag Jorgensen Model 1896 made by the Springfield Arsenal in 1897. This rifle is in an overall excellent condition with its original bluing still remaining. There are plenty of spots of wear but there are no signs of pitting or rust. The stock is in great condition without any cracks or breaks. The stock was likely replaced by an arsenal long ago as there’s no inspection cartouche on the left side. The bore is bright towards the beginning but there is heavy wear and some pitting towards the muzzle, around the last 5 inches.
