07/01/2024 – For sale is a G98M that was converted from a Gewehr 98 Mauser made by the Oberndorf factory. These rifles had their rear sights changed from the Langezvizier sights to more modern tangent sights during the Weimar Era. The overall condition of the rifle is 96% with the rifle retaining much of the arsenal refinished bluing but is beginning to brown with age. Spots of oxidation are visible throughout the rifle. The rifle is stamped 1920 on the receiver and stock. The rifle is nearly matching with only the front action screw being mismatched; the rest of the rifle matches. The bore is brighter towards the beginning but the grooves get darker towards the muzzle. Shining a light through the bore, it has good visible rifling. The stock is clean and in good condition without any cracks or breaks.
