5/28/21 – This is a very nice example of a Walther Mod HP sold in the commercial market in 1940. This one has a very early serial number. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle N” commercial proofs. It has retained about 85% of its gorgeous high polish finish. The profile views are excellent, as most of the wear is on the front strap. There is minor wear on the front edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Small spots of wear on the left side of the slide and on the safety lever. A few very light surface scratches on the slide and one small area of oxidation on the underside of the barrel near the muzzle. Comes with nice correct grips (one small spot of wear on the right side) and an un-marked magazine. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling. The de-cocker does not work. The slide does not lock back with this magazine. Painted rear sight.
