01/08/2024 – Up for sale is a Kar 88 made by V.C. Schilling Suhl in 1892 before WW1. The Kar 88 was a carbine version of the Gewehr 88 used by rear-line troops. The rifle is in good shape with no major blemishes of note. The rifle does not match and the only matching parts are the receiver, bolt, safety flag, and front sight. The stock has been heavily sanded but some proof marks are still visible. The bore is dark with a hint of brightness. There is a small dent on the left side of the barrel sleeve in front of the rear sight.
