3/15/23 – This is an original WW2 M1 Garand bayonet. The bayonet is a cut-down wartime example with the groove extending all the way to the tip. The blade has excellent finish throughout with some mild dings and nicks along the edge from use. No signs of sharpening. Maker stamped with an ordnance stamp and 1942 date on one side, and stamped with a faint cartouche on the other. The hand guard and hilt area has some mild surface wear but no major damage. Nice black grips. Original scabbard that shows surface patina and wear throughout but is completely intact.
