06/14/2024 – For sale is a US model 1817 Common Rifle made in 1831. This rifle is in great condition overall as it had been restored sometime in the past. There are some spots of surface oxidation on the metal of the rifle. The front barrel band and nose cap have a nice light brass-like finish. The barrel is reddish-brown on the exterior but no signs of corrosion or pitting. The bore is dark and there are signs of corrosion when shining a light. Stock is smooth with out any cracks or breaks.
