5/12/21 – This is an original US Mare Island flag. The flag is a No. 12, which is the smallest configuration of the U.S. Ensign flags made for the the navy during WW2. The smaller size makes this a great candidate for framing and display. These would have been flown on smaller Navy boats. The flag is 31×16 inches. The header / seam is marked “U.S. No. 12 MI 44”. Some mild yellowing but no major issues.
