5/3/18 – This is an original US M3 fighting knife made by Imperial in 1943. The blade has a phosphate looking finish but we think it’s just a dull bluing with some dust / dirt. The blade is maker stamped “Imperial”. There are no signs of sharpening and the blade is in great shape despite some minor speckling. The hand guard is slightly loose and wobbles on the handle. The handle is excellent with no issue. The pommel has a flaming bomb ordnance stamp. The scabbard is beautiful and perhaps the nicest part of this listing. The scabbard is made by L&C with a 1943 date. Excellent leather and stitching. Guaranteed original.
